Our Christian Education program provides opportunities to develop and nurture a closer personal relationship with Christ through a variety of means, including Bible study, discussion, sharing, fellowship and prayer. We offer Sunday School classes and other educational opportunities in order to provide care, nurture, and support for people of all ages.
Wednesday Night Live!
Dinner and programs for adults, youth and children are offered Wednesday nights during the school year (September through early May). The cost of the meal is met through donations (we suggest $5.00 per person) and programs vary throughout the year. Nursery care is provided for children younger than kindergarten. No reservations are required.
Mid-Week Bible Study
Short term Bible studies are offered throughout the year, from noon until 1 p.m., usually for a period of six to eight weeks. Participants bring their own lunch to enjoy while they learn and fellowship with other members of the class. Registration and weekly class preparation are required. Contact Connie Weaver at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE - We offer Sunday School classes for all ages during the school year, from 10:05 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. During the summer, Sunday School classes meet at 9:00 a.m., and not all classes meet. Please see the schedule, below.
SUMMER Sunday School
Nursery care is provided on Sunday mornings for children younger than two years old. The crib nursery is located in Room 114. The toddler nursery is on the preschool hall in Room 110.
Children's Summer Sunday School
During the summer, our children's classes for ages 3 through 5th grade are combined in Room 104 on our preschool hall.
Middle and High School
Sunday School for middle school and high school students takes a break during the summer, and resumes in the fall.
Summer Adult Classes
The Dean Bailey Covenant Class meets in Room 103, using a format of Scripture questions and discussion. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God..." (2nd Timothy 3:16), but what does it mean for us, today?
The Westminster Class has been in existence since at least 1956. Class opens with a familiar hymn and a devotion by a volunteer. Study is from “The Quarterly” and volunteer teachers lead open and lively discussions! This class meets in Westminster Hall.
The Spiritual Journeys Class is a great place to explore the Bible, and to seek answers to life's questions. They have a good time, while deepening their faith, caring for each other, and learning more about God’s Word. The class can be lively, but always seeks to maintain a friendly, polite discourse. They meet in Room 200A.
Additional adult classes will resume meeting in the fall.
